Live Blog the 3BF

Christy had an excellent suggestion: to live blog the Three Bridge Fiasco. Heck, it's an approximately 7 to 8 hour doublehanded race, there's plenty of time to pull out the iPhone and send a quick message to the blog.

I'm just worried that it might be boring. The current extended forecast is "N winds 5 kt...becoming NW. Patchy fog." Hmmm, maybe I will have plenty of free time for blogging. The only way I know how to do it now is to make each message its own post, I'll see if I can quickly and easily update it so it's in one post.

Either way, tune in on Saturday to watch the Incredible Windless Adventures of Phil and Edward (IWAPE). Live.

My wife has a G1 android phone. We just installed the www.instamapper.com application so grandma & kids can see where we are during the race. Works on the iphone too, and you can put the map on your blog I think, so everyone can see where you are; it doesn't seem to support more than one device per map yet.

Hey, I got no complaints if each message is a different post. I'll be watching! Some year, I hope to make it to SF to do this race, it sounds like an awesome time!

When? Where? I'm checking your blog every 5 minutes for updates. What happened?

Hey, thanks for the shout-out! Your readers' lust for live-action reporting was not quenched, but we're a forgiving bunch. Will you still satisfy our needs by providing a detailed account, with gratuitous iPhone-snapped photos?
