A Record Setting Year

2008 has started out alright. I won my third consecutive Tilly...the only bloggerizer to ever appear on the illustrious list three straight years.

I have this recurring thought that I'm just part of the vanguard of sailing bloggers, sort of the Grandmaster Flash of this art form. Some day my grandchildren will be watching a VH1 special about the old school sailing bloggers and will ask me about it. I will proudly show them my Tillies.

Where was I? Oh yeah, 2008. It just started and I'm on pace to break all sorts of records. It appears that, based on my performance so far this year, I will sail 366 days. My son is on pace to nap for 1098 hours, ensuring my wife's sanity. Oddly enough, my daughter and I are on pace to yell "happy new year" in unison at unsuspecting boats something like 400,000 times. It's going to be a great year.

Note: I edited this post as its initial incarnation made almost no sense. Call it New Year Euphoria.

Grandmaster Flash,

That's because it's like a jungle sometimes. It makes me wonder how I keep from goin' under.

Hopefully The Google still has the old version in a cache.
