I laugh at my own jokes

I was in an airport last week listening to a conversation between two mustachio'd gentlemen. It went like this:

Dude #1: blah blah blah, Haahahahahahah (slaps knee) haahaha
Dude #2: blah blah blah, Haahahahahahah (slaps knee) haahaha

Dude #1: blah blah blah, Haahahahahahah (slaps knee) haahaha
Dude #2: blah blah blah, Haahahahahahah (slaps knee) haahaha

Dude #1: blah blah blah, Haahahahahahah (slaps knee) haahaha
Dude #2: blah blah blah, Haahahahahahah (slaps knee) haahaha

I'm not even sure if they were listening to each other, one guy would say something, crack up about it, and then look bored while the other guy repeated the scenario. It went on like this for as long as I could bear to stare at them.

This, of course, was a bloggable moment. And then I realized that my blog is like dude #2 in the above situation...an easily available crutch for me to laugh at what I find funny. So, I bring you the essence of the EVK4 Bloglet experience, me laughing at my own jokes:

And, next week, some sailing.

I didn't even film all the times I cracked up thinking about how much this laughing vlog cracks me up. At one point on the flight home, I hit this terribly vicious circle of laughing at the fact that I'm laughing about a movie about laughing. One of the few times in my life that I wished I had a stash of xanax or something for flights.

Those of you with high-speed connections will never know the drama with which this video played out as, piece by piece, it slowly came through the buffers. I'm wondering whether YouTube's buffer system has the drama programmed into it, or whether it was just serendipity:

"My name's Edward (lengthy pause for buffering) ... and I laugh at my own jokes (lengthy pause) ..."

And then there were breaks mostly perfectly timed at scene changes.

There was that one spot, however, where I caught somebody else giggling too -- possibly the elder offspring?
