Holy cow, what a good forecast. I don't think these are Summer thermals (it's not very hot in the valley today) but there isn't a storm coming so it's not a precursor or anything. Maybe it's just wind and I should be thankful.

Last weekend I went to go sailing and had no wind...this weekend if I can get a few hours free time I might need a reef. What a difference. Other than Noah being sick the last week and my wife being fried because of that there are very very few reasons that I shouldn't be on the water this weekend.

Should my first singlehanded sail on this boat be in 15-25? Probably not. Will I do it? Probably. Is this smart? Surely not. But then again I never claimed to be a good sailor or smart.

hahahaha, really though the only choice we have is too go or not to go, that is the question. The rest is up to the Force ...no?

May the Force be with you. ;-)

Hey Ed-

I took the Pretty Gee out for a sail in about that much wind on Saturday morning. Sailed for about 45 minutes when I decided that I had had enough. :D

I say go for it. Have fun...but be careful. The new boat might have some surprises for you.

Thanks for the note.

If you go to the races and art show @Encinal Yacht Club on Sat, look for the "Zen" crew we'll be wandering around taking pictures. Should be a great weekend to be out!

Zen,
I try to stay in the wind...berkeley to the gate with an occasional foray into Angel Island's lee so that I can get to Ayala Cove. The slot is the place to sail in my book.
