But, I'm no expert.

The window in his room is usually open, we don't have AC but he does have an air purifier in his room. It is possible to have a downdraft colliding with the wind from the open window above the boat causing some sort of odd vortex. I'll plug it into a model tonight and see if it can explain the sail trim.EVK4https://www.blogger.com/profile/02797338920913749383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5105989.post-24797547016846543342007-08-01T09:30:00.000-07:002007-08-01T09:30:00.000-07:00Square rigger wing-on-wing?Square rigger wing-on-wing?SailRacerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07192004101264677756noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5105989.post-74210500097592301252007-08-01T00:18:00.000-07:002007-08-01T00:18:00.000-07:00He does have the sails perfectly trimmed for saili...He does have the sails perfectly trimmed for sailing on a mountain lake, where the wind at the top of the mast and the wind at the surface of the lake are totally different, and sometimes halfway up, there's yet another wind.

BTW, why did you name your kids after a hurricane and the world's most famous flood survivor? Are you into natural disasters?

And it's amazing how many of the blogs on Tillerman's link list have now ended up on MyOutdoorTv. Five O'Clock Somewhere somehow missed the list of the anointed, but Desert Sea got on. Over at Desert Sea, Laura arrived without a referring URL, so probably she copied and pasted, and she made her comment just seconds after arriving at the blog, so it's unlikely she actually looked at it before making the comment. I'm guessing Desert Sea made the cut because it has "sailing" in its name, and your blog made it because it was in a list of "sailing blogs."Carol Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07201269435839112134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5105989.post-3385229468469956592007-07-31T12:24:00.000-07:002007-07-31T12:24:00.000-07:00Kid, tell your Dad about wind shear.Kid, tell your Dad about wind shear.Tillermanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00639738519386820997noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5105989.post-30595328045752332282007-07-31T12:22:00.000-07:002007-07-31T12:22:00.000-07:00Hi,My name is Anonymous, and I work with Anonymous...Hi,
My name is Anonymous, and I work with AnonymousBloggers.com. Perhaps the boat is in the middle of a severe downdraft and both sails are efficiently positioned for the impending micro-burst.

Or maybe the captain saw some kelp on the keel, and is backing the boat down under sail.
